Big upgrades are coming this September
Starting this September, nbn® is rolling out major upgrades to its high-tier plans, unlocking speeds we’ve only imagined until now. Here’s what’s changing:
Fast 100/20 Mbps → 500/50 Mbps
Superfast 250/25 Mbps → 750/50 Mbps
Ultrafast 1000 Mbps → 1000/50-100 Mbps
These upgrades can mean smoother streaming, faster downloads, and better performance across all your devices — whether you're working, learning, gaming, or relaxing.
But that’s just the beginning.
NBN Co is also launching brand-new multi-gigabit plans — designed for homes where speed isn’t just a luxury, it’s essential. For content creators, streamers, and remote workers, a new tier is coming with up to 2 Gbps upload. That’s next-level connectivity for those who push the limits.
How do I upgrade?
If you're already on a More fast, superfast or ultrafast nbn® plan — and your home is connected via FTTP (fibre to the premises) or HFC (hybrid fibre coaxial) — great news: from September, your plan will be automatically upgraded to even faster speeds. No action needed. Just sit back and enjoy the boost.
Not on one of those plans or connection types? No problem. If your home uses a different technology (like fibre to the curb or fibre to the node), or you're on a different plan, you may be able to make the switch. Upgrading now means you'll be ready to experience next-level internet in September. |
