让全国上下揪心的几周终成过去。当美参议院通过某法官晋身大法官的提名，旁听席上抗议人群疾呼：俺反对。
俺也希望事件反转，不过按贯性思维应该没什么可能。
此事意义重大，影响深远
Mr Trump now has the numbers he has wanted in the Supreme Court.
Mr Kavanaugh will be the fifth conservative on the nine-judge bench.
And, as it's a job for life, a relatively young Mr Kavanaugh could be ruling on fundamental issues like abortion, immigration and presidential powers for 40-plus years.

下面是他的名言：
"The key to a good life is learning to cope with the bad and celebrate the good. It's taken me a long while to work that one out.
面壁经年方才顿悟：要拥有美好的生活，关键在于不断地学习，学会在逆境中克服困难，学会在顺境中感恩。

They are the sons of wealth, brought up in families accustomed to power. They were raised to show and demand respect, and they were raised to lead.
他们出身豪门，与权贵为邻。他们有教养懂得尊重并赢得尊重。他们从小就被培养成一方诸候。
文章中最后的一段文字，俺觉得很可以当作二人的人品总结。
