PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Reporting to the Production Manager the Production Assistant is responsible for providing professional and confidential support. They will need to be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and balance multiple demands. The Production Assistant is required to have the ability to establish strong working relationships with suppliers, team members and other departments within the organisation.


The successful applicant will:

        Ideally you will come from a fashion background,
        You must have 1-2 years solid experience in purchasing and production
        Chinese Language an advantage.
        Have the ability to negotiate FOB prices and an understanding of the cost of China manufacturing
        Work under pressure and take directions well.
        Must have high attention to detail.
        Must be experienced in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Key Responsibilities:

        Monitor the progress of each style/order from the placement, pricing, sampling, production, packaging through to delivery.
        Build and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers.
        Liaise with freight forwarders and couriers to monitor shipments.
        Process shipping documents and validate customs documents.
        Liaise with warehouse personnel regarding all delivery and packaging materials.
        Assist in collating information for the accounts department.

       
Whilst the core hours are a 39 hour week (9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday), it is recognised that you must be flexible in regard to working some extra hours during peak times.
