POP great Madonna is preparing to perform in Melbourne, breaking her 15-year Australian tour drought.
The London-based superstar has revealed she would like to perform Down Under as part of her 2008-09 world tour.
Her only visit to Melbourne was for the Girlie Show tour in November 1993.
Madonna, 50 this year, has been criticised by fans for snubbing Australia on her past three world tours.
But Madonna told the Sunday Herald Sun, in an exclusive interview, that she was ready to return.
"It's been a while. It's the least I can do," she said.
Promoter Michael Chugg confirmed that Madonna's 2008-09 world tour plan - including Australia - "will happen".
"It is being talked about and there is a promoter trying to put it together," he said. |
