会计statutory accounts and statutory filing 指的是哪些内容。

面试financial accountant的时候，对方在技术方面问了这个问题，我一直以为是GST, FBT的annual filing.
考官的反应好像不大对，觉得自己闹了个大乌龙。虚心请教一下足迹的高人。

仁兄应聘的insurance industry吧? 我以前就在同行业.. 没有亲手做过, 但是听说:

Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) provides rules and forms the basis for preparing the financial statements of insurance companies, while all the other companies use GAAP as set of rules. SAP differs from GAAP in terms of the accounting principles used to prepare the financial statements, the purpose of the financial statements used, and valuation methods.
SAP 和 GAAP 出来的报表差异可能会很大.. 额.. 只知道这么多..

谢谢回复哦。面试的是一家做零售业的公司，貌似每个行业都不一样。

我问了以前公司的财务经理，每年只要发一份审计报告给ASIC就可以了，因为公司并不是上市公司。如果是上市公司或保险等特殊行业，statutory reporting会有更多的要求。
