初来报到,首次发贴,请大家多多帮忙:想到澳洲后教中文需要什么资格证明?

If the community chinese schools were open on weekdays, where would their students be studying.:)  Chinese schools are kinda of crammer schools for extended learning (bu xi ban) mainly for kids of Chinese background. These kids go to mainstream schools on weekdays and are sort of forced by parents to attend weekend Chinese schools to learn their home language. All teachers there are part-time and do have other jobs.

经验不经验的，一个人如果认真想把一个工作干成一翻事业就让人尊重，也一定能做好．我也见过不少所谓的有经验的老师抱着自己的经验自以为是的残害花朵们．．．
如果我有小孩还是更愿意交给一位有责任心的老师！你还是满有希望的嘛！

apart from bu xi ban:), another possibility is teaching LOTE, is that so? is it hard to obtain qualification to teach LOTE, in your experience?

Well, it's not hard to obtain a qualification in teaching lote and/or in any teaching areas, provided that you have a first degree plus good english skills. Almost all unis have such courses. The catch is that job-hunting could be an very exhausting and disappointing process. Many graduate teachers end up with a less than 0.5 teaching load (so <0.5 fulltime wage). In this case, would you persevere..

Personally I wouldn't send my kids to those weekend schools either. kids are bound to playing on weekends.
