JAVA UI developer. 3-6 month. $500-600/D for a government department:
Primary Purpose
Design, build and test technical solutions focussing on User Interface components from functional specifications and implement new or modified functionality to the required specifications and quality criteria.
Responsibilities
• Ensure timely design, development, unit testing and delivery of quality application modules.
• Use the available tools to deliver new and enhanced functionality
• Contribute knowledge and thought leadership to the team
• Suggest improvements to SRO’s software development related procedures, tools and approaches
Key selection criteria
• Experienced with the implementation and development of Java/JEE development in large enterprises
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills with demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement in addressing and advising on information technology matters
• Highly developed communication skills with an ability to communicate, influence and negotiate with non-technical people about software design and construction
• Customer service and quality focus
Qualifications and training
Mandatory
• Java, JEE, JSF2.0+, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, jUnit
Highly desirable
• Subversion, Maven, Spring, Web Services (SOAP), WebSphere, JSF Component Libraries
• Java certification
