这个时候的V应该算是初生牛犊不怕虎的，才17岁的她就因为热爱音乐，一个人从加拿大一路跑到纽约去磨练创作。所以曲风大多都是明快的，更有My World这样写年少生活的无忧无虑，"lay under the milky way...I'm not in love this time this night.."。
这个时候认识了吉他手Evan Taubenfeld，我至今还记得后来看到V谈第二张专辑里Don't Tell Me创作过程，她说还在LET GO时期“有一天EVAN在宾馆里弹出了这首歌的曲子，她把词丢进去，就写好了”。
