如何申请non-local的小学

孩子3岁，还有2年就要读小学了，我家隔壁有个suburb的公立小学比自己家所在的小学好很多，那个区交通不方便，没有火车站，房子基本都是house。我想申请那家，同事说现在就去递交申请，想问问大家，以怎样的理由才有希望能获得enrollment 的机会呢？谢谢

申请表上有问申请理由是什么？该怎么说呢？难道直接说你们学校好，排名考前？老外可能不认为这是个好理由吧？

可是没有朋友熟人住在这个区哦！校长若是问朋友孩子的姓名，那我可就说不出来了。

现在不可能报名, 先去daycare, 认识小朋友先

一般来说, 除非这小学象artamon那么紧, 其他小学扩几个班都没有问题

你先去问下那个学校是不是接受跨区的，有的接受，有的直接说不接受了，接受的话，到时候就去排队，不过你也肯定排在他本区的小孩的后面。

学校网站有给跨区的学生申请表，所以应该会接受跨区。怎么我的澳洲同事说现在就可以去排队？

一般公立的，你早排别人还不让你排呢；教会私立的要早排队，你去问下就知道了。

这样啊！NSW的公校要在开学前多久才可递交non-local的申请呢？同事的孩子确实是在教会学校读书。

I also want to send my son to another public school which is not in our catchment, so I have been talking to mothers who already have children in the school, some said there is a committee who decide if you can get in. Yes you do have to apply and write a letter to the school state the reasons for applying non local school, the more the better.  With the school we want to get in apparently we have to complete all the documents by end of April, and very interestingly they take non local students before local enrolment, so if you are in, you are in, I am not quite sure if every school has the same policy though.
