关于student accident insurance

我小儿子今年上学了，学校的newsletter上说 Parents are reminded that the Education Department does not provide personal accident insurance for student.  Parents and guardians are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including any transport costs.
我不是很清楚要不要买，我们是买了medibank保险，还要单独买student accident insurance么？medibank包了救护车的，要住院的话，要自己出治疗费么？medicare和medibank不管么？

医保包的是医疗费用，参照你买的保险policy

意外保险是人身意外的保险，保的是意外造成的永久伤残/死亡。这个险种，你要咨询保险公司。

This is called Life insurance. You have to purchase separately. The insurance you have from Medibank is Health insurance. They are different. But Medibank should provide Kids Accident insurance. You can ask them. It's not expensive.

应该不用买，我孩子的学校也给（刚进去的时候），他们是例行公事，结果我打听了不少家长，大家都不买。

我们学校的P and C出钱，每年买全部学生的以外保险。
