How long has your puppy barked in the morning?

Luffy started to have morning barking since day 1 since we locked him in the crate during the night.
The normal solution for barking is to ignore it. But with other family member who has soft heart, it's not easy to execute the rule to everyone.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Did your puppy bark in the morning?
How long do they normally barking and when?
What did you do to stop barking?
How old were they when they stop barking?

You need to know why he barks. If he wants to pee or poo, all you need to do is to let him out do his business. It is actually a perfect time to do toilet training - ask him to be quiet first, then let him out, lead him to backyard (I bought a planpen for Toffee to pee and poo in the backyard, that is the only area he can do his business) - it may take 15-20 mins for puppy to finally pee/poo outside - reward him as soon as he finishes his job (you can use food, but the better way is to reward him with bringing him into the house and give him a treat).

Also, puppies get hungry quickly. They may bark because they need food. Toffee got up about 6am when he was young. If you ignore him, he could throw-up (胃酸).So I chose to feed Toffee puppy milk every night about 8 pm, this could make him get up around 7 am.

If your dog is not hungry, nor want to go to toilet, but still barks... then you can ignore him. It only took Toffee one week to change this bad habit. He can now sleep till 7am and stay clam in the laundry till I get up.

I think the fact is always more complicated than single reason.
I would prefer to say, it's combination of everything.
1.Hungry
Luffy was definitely hungry this morning that I can tell by how fast it ate his breakfast.
I will tried to feed him around 11pm tonight and hope it will last little bit longer.

2. elimination.
Not quite sure about pee, it was let out by grandma but it didn't want to pee but just play around. Then we put him back into the crate and he barked again. Then my fiance went out and unlock him again. This time, he wanted to pee.
I think your 10~15 mins theory is correct. But I would say, if it is not pee immediately, try to feed him breakfast, then wait for 10 mins,it should pee this time.

3. want to play
Before we left for work, we always put Luffy in the crate. He cried and barked again. But according to grandma, he only did that for 10 mins. then, he went quiet.

so here is the summary:
At night, feed Luffy at 11pm, then, let it out for elimination. Once he did his business, put him into the cage.
In the morning, I will wake up 5:15am, will do exactly same thing as what I do at night, then put him into the cage around 6am.

睡觉前上完厕所可以陪他玩5-10分钟，不要让他觉得上完厕所就要进笼子，否则以后他会故意跟妳拖时间。
小狗通常早上起床的第一件事就是要上厕所，Luffy比较奇怪一点。

First thing Luffy normally do is to drink water. Then play. Once you didn't pay attention, it will start leaking!

Not sure if it is good to feed him at 11 pm, because food can also make your dog be excited. It may also make his stomach upset while he is sleeping. When you give him dinner, only provide 3/4 of food, keep the rest for training in the evening or give to him around 8 pm.

In terms of crate, do not put him into crate when you go to work - 7 to 8 hours in the crate is definitely a NO . Since your mother in law is always at home, let your dog stay in the laundry or garage (a bigger area you allow him to stay at). Make sure no dangerous stuff in the area, provide him with water, a lot of toys and  the crate -  if you also want to do in-door toilet training, then leave puppy toilet pats as well.

According to my breeder, puppies poo/pee soon after they get up (even just for a nap). Then 10-20 mins after eating food. So, when you dog gets up in the morning, try put him in the backyard for 15 mins. Let him in if he doesn't do his business. Give him food,  then put him in the backyard again even if he already peed/pooed.

Tks again. We didn't put Luffy in the crate for 12 hours. God No!.
We only put him into the crate till his grandma gets up from her bed.
Then, he is running free (except bedrooms, sofa,chairs) in the house.

在你带他出去，发现他就要蹲下上厕所时，加上verbal cue，go potty, wee wee 或是任何你想用的cue，几次之后他就知道听到那个字就是要
他上厕所，我家Nero听到wee wee就会尿尿，即使他还不急，也会尿一点满足妈妈的要求。
出去不上厕所就只能放回笼子，隔10-15分钟再去一次，乖乖上了就可以有自由活动的时间，小狗学习能力很强的，很快他就会懂得规则。

just update,  
I fed him last night at 8pm. let him pee at 11pm. he was very tired. so I put him into the cage.  
this morning around 5:15am, Luffy started a little bit whining,  I got up, let it pee,  poop , feed him (that may be is a mistake) and put him back to cage. He made new records by barking more than one hour.

this cause whole family issue which can't get good sleep. I think I may have to leave the cage open in the morning.
any ideas?
