When you import something into Australia, you not only pay for the GST, but you will need to pay for the import duty, TIS and GST.

Even what you claim is correct, you can only get your GST back. But the fact is, you cannot claim it. Unless it was imported by a company, and then they resell it to you and issue you a new invoice with ABN and GST included in the total. Then you can claim your GST back via TRS.

How I know? I just ask custom few weeks ago, i also confirm with my custom broker, and it is also written on TRS's website. It is not arguable.

I called Customs Office in NSW. The answer is different. I just need the payment slip and their payment notice.Beause it is overseas supplier, who has no ABN. The duty is only 2%-4%. I don't care duty. Do you have the number?

Import Duty is 5% . and the GST is base on the TIS, not just your purchase price.

So the total will be around 18% approx.
