Euastacus Kershawi, Gippsland Freshwater Spiny Crayfish are wide spread throughout the south eastern parts of Victoria. Around the Bunyip state park are some good water ways like the Bunyip river, Tarago river and Latrobe river. Long and short-finned eels can be a problem when freshwater cray fishing they will compete for the same bait. Eels were present throughout the day due to the heavy rain overnight. With a little patience we caught the first for the day.
