Frenchs Forest - Organic Food Markets
Opening Days
Sunday
Opening Times
8am to 1pm
Location
The Parkway Hotel, 5 Frenchs Forest Road East, Frenchs Forest

Phone: 02 9999 2226

Frenchs Forest Organic Food market is open every Sunday from 8am. The markets offer a great selection of produce as well as adjoining fashion stalls at 'The Look Fashion Market'.
Organic Food Markets are a collection of markets both in Sydney and in Newcastle, offering local residents everything from certified organic produce to conventional fresh food, gourmet treats, flowers and fashion.
Each of the markets has its own unique personality and atmosphere. Marrickville for example is very alternative, vintage and has a strong artistic feel, with recycling being very important, and often exciting new artists of all kinds are displaying their work. Orange Grove is cosmopolitan, full of food and designer cloths. Frenchs Forest is more organic, relaxed and full of people going to or from the beach.
Organic Food Markets have been operating for over 15 years now. Initially the markets were predominantly certified organic produce with many bio-dynamic and other certified organic producers, but over the years public interest in food and markets has grown. On the food side there has been the farmer's market movement, fair trade, food miles and now slow food. On the markets side the social role of markets has expanded, they are the perfect place to meet friends and to indulge in all sorts of goodies whilst listening to music and performers.
The Organic Food Markets have something for everyone, offering affordable prices and a great day out.

Sydney Sustainable Markets is an authentic Farmers Market – our stallholders are involved in the growing, producing and making of their products, they are not re-sellers. We are passionate about sustainable food sources, and numbers of our stallholders are certified organic, or adopt sustainable farming and production methods.
You'll find delicious, seasonal produce grown in NSW, with low food miles at our all weather, outdoor farmers market. Our genuine growers and producers offer seasonal fruit and vegetables (organic and low chemical inputs), biodynamic and free range eggs, pasture raised meats, condiments, organic bread, olive oil, honey, flowers, herbs, hand made pasta, artisan cheeses and much more.
Also, look out for regular 'The Real Deal' mini-seminars and talks on urban sustainability from local chefs, foodies and presenters with a passion for inspiring others towards more sustainable lifestyle choices.
The market embraces the ideals of the Slow Food movement – celebrating food which is good, clean and fair. As an authentic Farmers Market, Sydney Sustainable Markets has a commitment to supporting regional producers, and particularly those who are farming heritage or rare breed produce. Sydney backyard gardeners, growers and small home based producers may also share their produce at the market.

Paddington Markets are held every Saturday from 10am, rain or shine. Situated in the grounds of the heritage-listed sandstone Uniting church, the market is the epicentre of the famous Oxford Street shopping centre.
The market boasts over 200 stalls, selling a wide range of beautiful Australian made goods.
