whats the point of being a 报税义工? you are cheapening the whole tax accountant profession. people who come to 报税义工 must have really simple tax matters which they should be able to do the tax return themselves. if you help them you are helping to maintain their laziness. If you have time, maybe volunteer to a more worthy course.

if they cant pay the cost of preparing tax return, most likely they dont have adequate income and thus dont need to pay tax anyway, so why waste time helping them.
if people cant even be responsible to manage their own financial affairs to the extend that they cant pay a proper tax accountant $60 to do a tax return, then by doing 报税义工 for them, you are sending them a message that its ok not to manage my finances well as some sucker will volunteer and do it for me for free. |
