You need to find a new electricity provider today.
We are exiting the direct to consumer market in Victoria and we need you to switch electricity providers. The sooner you do, the better chance you have of finding a good deal. You need to be aware that smaller low price high value retailers are exiting this market. 4 have already exited, some of them closed their doors, others have stepped out of the market until conditions are more financially viable. We are not closing our doors we are just exiting from this part of the market.
You may not have found time to switch yet but you should today. Our rates will be increasing by 95% on July 1, in simple terms your bills will almost double. Other retailers have purchased energy a long time ago at a much lower cost and can still offer you a hot deal. Time and their spare capacity for customers may be running out. We recommend you switch to a better deal today as switching is not always immediate. In some parts of Australia it can take well over a month. Act now to avoid the price hikes.
Switching is a 2 minute tasks and the time to act is now.
We have sent out an SMS to our customers last week and had some really interesting replies I’d like to answer for you all;
• the message to switch away is genuine
• we have not been hacked
• this is not a scam, check the email address you will see it is from morgan@electricityinabox.com.au
• we have enjoyed our relationship, It’s not you it’s us.
• no we are not closing down, just exiting this segment of the market
• no you are not helping our business by staying
• yes any customer with remaining solar credit will be paid when they switch out – its batched fortnightly
Your official rate update notifications will be distributed today, They are your existing rates plus 95% only the lazy or crazy would stay.
