Applications open for Achiever Work Experience
Students have until Monday, 31 August 2009 to apply for prestigious work experience placements in Institute accredited firms.
Achiever Work Experience is available for first year students studying a Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Commerce, or Bachelor of Business with an Accounting major. The paid work experience placements occur during the university summer break and are from two to 12 weeks.
'Achiever Work Experience is a great way for Chartered Accountant firms to secure accounting talent early on in their development. In addition, it is an opportunity for students to give their résumé the edge when it comes to graduate recruitment,' said Elaine McFadzean, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Institute.
There are more than 65 organisations offering Achiever Work Experience placements across Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart, Newcastle, Perth, Sydney and Launceston.
An extensive application review and interview process begins in September with Institute and recruitment personnel.
Contact the Institute's service centre on 1300 137 322 if you would like more information.
