SYDNEY METRO NORTHWEST – survey works
The $8.3 billion Sydney Metro Northwest is the first stage of Sydney Metro - Australia’s
biggest public transport project.
Sydney Metro Northwest is delivering eight new railway stations, 4000 commuter car parking
spaces and Sydney’s new generation of safe, reliable and fully automated metro trains.
Trains will run every four minutes in the peak, that's 15 trains an hour. Customers won’t
need a timetable, they will just turn up and go.
The new Cherrybrook Station will have parking for 6 buses, 14 kiss and ride spaces, 4 taxi
spaces, 40 bicycle parking spaces and 400 car parking spaces.
As part of preparing the precinct for the new Cherrybrook Station, Transport for NSW will be
doing survey work on:
Robert Road, between Oliver Way and John Road; and
Franklin Road, between Kayla Way and Neale Avenue.
The team will be gathering information to investigate improvements to the pedestrian and
cycling connections along these roads to the new station.
Work hours
The work is intermittent and unobtrusive, and will involve a small survey team working on the
footpath. The work is scheduled for 10 days commencing on Monday 17 July, between the
hours of 7am and 6pm (weekdays only).
In case of wet weather etc, the work may need to be extended beyond this period.
