My friend just got redundaned yesterday which is within his expectation. There are the total of 80 staffs have been redundanced. poor thing.
My query is why his termination pay rate is not normal rate instead it's his package rate - that's normal + super.(all unused A.L and S.L + serverance + payment in lieu of notice has been calculated by higher rate).
In this case, he's got one month extra than what he should get (under normal pay), but because of super has been included, so there is no more super pay on top of that. just wander it is a normal payroll practice? of course many people prefer to cash out money from super earlier.
