i always read such advertisements before : look for someone who is detail-oriented or pay more attention to details and so on". At that time i did not understand what does pay more attetion mean. anymore, it was a metrit so i wrote it down on both of resume and cover letter.

however, i have started to doubt that whether or not i am that kind of person as stated on my cv since i received training in accounts receivable. i am working in a hotel and every day there are lots of tax invoices and figures i need to process by using the system of that hotel. there are many travel agencies that introduce many travellers to us, for which the accounts receivable will send them lots of tax invoice monthly rather than immediately. Therefore, the payment we receive is always a lot, approximately 50 or 60 guests. 可现在都两个月了,还是犯错,but if i double checked or asked, i should not have made such stupid mistakes; however i did not. so the lady showed me an very unhappy face and said to me the reason to let me down is i do not pay attention enough and then she told this to the finance associate who is in charge of my traineeship.(monkey31) of course, i didn‘t do it on purpose。 after all, i expect a good reference after the training, but it just happened and bothers me so much。

as above, the tax invoices of large travel agencies will be sent monthly, which means i have to allocate a huge payment to 50 or 60 guests, which will take longer time。 it is quite tedious and boring。 under such circumstance, i only ketp a clear mind for a short time, then 脑子僵住了,就想机器人一样机械的type figures, allocate payments or look for tax invoices, which is the easist time to make a mistake。actually, i realised this issue one month ago when when i became more familar with the system。 i hate this feeling, but i could not overcome it。

(monkey24)

This is why, I don't want to study in Accounting.

慢慢熬吧,O(∩_∩)O哈哈~

Let me tell you a story. In my first job, I had to run a raffle ticket for internal staff @ our Christmas party. We would then receive some gifts from our suppliers to giveaway at the party. One particular gift was 10 x $50 Myer voucher, but when this lady gave it to me I heard her say 100. Because I was so busy sorting out other aspects of the Christmas party I forgot to count the vouchers, so then I printed out 100 paper voucher subsitutes to give out at the party, which later the staff could swap once they were back at the company for the real ones.
After the party finished and people started to come in to trade in their paper vouchers, I looked in the Myer voucher envelop and realised that there were only 10. I knew that I had made a BIG mistake. So I had to let my superiors know of the situation and luckily we had some spare petrol vouchers to make up the remaining 90.
My manager said he was really disappinted in me but he wasn't angry because he said "It is okay to make mistakes, but don't make the same one twice"
I know that you must feel bad at the moment but you have to learn from your mistakes. If you know your weakness comes from not double checking then check. If you don't know something then ask. You are a trainee, no one expect you to understand everything in the first instance. So if you are a little slower than other workers when processing these invoices, it is okay. But you have to make sure that your work is 100% accurate. Don't be satisfied with 2nd rate.
Plus, remember, if you found out that you made a mistake, never gloat to a manager. To have something accurate is expected. Working is not the same as school, no one is going to give you a pat on the back and say "good girl". Some 'nicer' people might say it to your face but afterwards the backstab will be more painful.

而且像我说的那样,我已经allocate payments to some of guests made booking from qantas, there were still more left, which meant i had to do it again if i log-off.

i understand it is very important to learn from mistakes and do not make the same mistake. i tried and i will try much harder. Thanks a lot.
