I completed the Graduate Diploma of Applied Tax Law. However, I did not complete some tax electives which I'm interested in.
Whether you want to do CTA 2A & 2B is up to you. All I can say is that CTA 2A & 2B are combination of online checkpoint multiple choices with unlimited attempts and a written final exam. I think the exam difficulty is similar to the CA exam. Whether you want to do the CPA tax or tax institute tax is up to you. Tax institute CTA 2A & 2B takes a bit of time to do it because this subject was spit from 1 subject into 2 subjects.
The topics covered are more or less similar to CPA exams (I read some course notes from someone). This course is more expensive because there are either facilitator sound recordings for distance education group or face to face lecture (from memory you can choose to attend a second tier CA firm) and the exam is marked by examiner with a marking grid.
For the Graduate diploma tax electives, the assessments comprise of an assignment and an exam. I think their exam are ok but the assignment needs to take a bit of time to do it.
For the Graduate diploma commercial law electives, the assessments comprise of online checkpoint multiple choices and an final exam. The exam for the commercial law electives are easy in my opinion.
P.S. You probably know whether I'm a member or not.
