因为有亲戚在美国，想去美国居住生活。有谁知道澳洲CPA怎么转AICPA嘛，需要办理什么手续或者参加什么额外的考试吗？

The above comment is above correct. But I guess it may be easier / faster to take on the IQEX Exam in US than doing the CA program.

看了一下似乎里面不包含澳洲的CPA。。。是不是先把澳洲CPA转成香港的CPA。然后再参加IQEX的考试啊。

I don't think it is a good idea either unless you really want to become a HKICPA. I kind of understand what you intend to do. I guess your strategy is to convert to HKICPA first and then hope AICPA does not require you to sit the US IQEX exam (Due to G8 Alliance). However, you need to check with AICPA to make sure that strategy works.

For CPA (Aust) who wants to convert to HKICPA, you may need to sit the final examination in HK. This depends on when you joined CPA (Aust) as an associate. Here is the link below.

At the end of the day, you may need to sit for 2 exams (HKICPA exam and then IQEX exam). If you just want to become AICPA, I guess you rather spend your money on AICPA exam materials rather than paying 3 memberships per annum (CPA (Aust), HKICPA and AICPA).

付几个没用的member fee 是真的吃不消。有没有最省力省时间省钱的方法啊

Sorry I just realised that the Mutual Recognition Agreement between the U.S. International Qualifications Appraisal Board and CPA Australia (Australian Certified Practicing Accountants) has expired and is not being considered for renewal. Members of CPA Australia interested in becoming licensed as a CPA in the U.S. must complete the Uniform CPA Examination.

Therefore, CPA (Aust) cannot sit the IQEX exam anymore.

If you want to become AICPA, the fastest route is to take the Uniform CPA Examination

The Uniform CPA Examination currently consists of four sections: Auditing and Attestation (AUD), Business Environment and Concepts (BEC), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR), and Regulation (REG). These four sections represent a total of 14 hours of testing.
