can i ask dentist to install a tooth cap on one of my live tooth (not a dead tooth after rooting cannel treatment) ? or i have to wait until and I have to a root cannel treatment, and then to do a tooth cap on the dead tooth only?

可以的，活髓牙也可以crown，但你为什么要这样做？
敏感？隐裂？。。。。。。

如果没有指征还是不要的好，因为做crown的话必须把牙齿磨小一圈。

可以做是没问题但是你要达到什么目的？如果只是为了漂亮的话请慎重。如果是牙齿有问题最好听听你的牙医的意见

because the filling is not as strong as a cap or crown, a few times of filling will lead to root treatment and to do a crown eventually
