smh: 北京空气会污染烤肉

这个报道，突出3个观点。
1， 中国没人权－因为不让澳大利亚运动员烧烤。不让吃烤香肠，就是对澳大利亚的挑衅。

It can’t be coincidence that rather than marching into the stadium in our traditional third place on the opening night, our brave little Aussie vegemiters have been told by Chinese authorities they’ll come in almost last, forcing these finely tweaked athletes to stand around until late at night in some wretchedly chilly concrete hallway, when some of them have Aussie Gold!(tm) to win the very next morning.

Well, okay maybe it could be a one-off, something to do with the number of brush strokes in the Mandarin character for ‘Australia’ (a likely story) but the whole innocent coincidence alibi starts to look decidely pear-shaped when you also realise that the very same or at least somewhat similar Chinese authorities have also told our Aussie athletes, that they cannot enjoy their traditional Aussie team barbecue in the Olympic village. Aussie Olympic superchief Johnny Coates has admitted that the Aussies were forced to resort to cold cuts and salad at the so-called Aussie team barbecue. Cold cuts and salad! Is this what passes for human rights advances for Aussies in Olympic Beijing?

And the stated reason for the ban?

Air pollution. But not in the way that you’d think. Not because the ceremonial burning of our specially imported Aussie snags would add to the city’s already noxious atmosphere, but because that noxious atmosphere might somehow ‘contaminate’ the sausages and thus, possibly, the athletes.

So Aussie athletes have been told they can’t have an Aussie barbecue to protect them from China’s filthy atmosphere; the very atmosphere they are standing around in breathing every minute of the day. If anything, it might be better consumed when filtered through a sausage.

I’ve warned you before, people. An attack on sausages is an attack on all of us. The Chinese knew exactly what they were doing when they banned our sacred barbecue. The games have already begun.

我感觉在很多澳洲本地人心里，对中国还是很抵触。可能是因为社会制度不同吧，我觉得他们对中国很苛刻，世界上很多国家都有各种各样的问题，但是从来没见过他们对哪个国家这么苛刻的。可能是我们树大招风吧～～～

奥运会要是办得不好，他们会说，看吧，就说你们不行。办的好，就会说我们想show off，搞面子做假象，总之我们怎么做都是错。

窃以为澳洲人骨子里挺贱的，绝大多数人没什么见识，说道中国翻来覆去就那么点东西，到了美国人面前就谦卑多了。

有点上纲上线了，一个媒体不能代表全部澳洲人的，而且又把中国人也扯进去了，没必要啊。看待媒体其实就是那么回事，完全代表了一个party的立场，没必要这么当真的。

可能 smh 在你心里不代表什么。不过，你去调查一下它在澳大利亚人心中的位置和公信力，再说一个媒体不能代表澳大利亚人这样的话不迟。不应该把中国人扯进来，这点是错了，已经改正。

要看这些报道不生气基本上是不可能的，我现在都已经平和很多了。澳洲挺土的，跟大多数西方国家一样，他们是很难接受中国的发展和强大的。慢慢来吧，日本经济发展这么多年了，都很难让他们接受的，更别说社会主义的中国了。
