Dear Candidates,
Over night, you may have received a final reminder email about your upcoming exams. Unfortunately this email incorrectly included information relating to the Foundation Level exam policies.
You should shortly receive an apology email clarifying the correct exam policy information for your Professional Level exam. This email is pasted in below.

Email Subject: Important Information About Your Upcoming CPA Australia Professional Level Exam
Dear CPA Australia Candidate,
Pearson VUE has recently sent you a confirmation email for your Professional Level exam(s).
The confirmation letter you received contains your correct exam appointment(s) and venue information. However it also provides incorrect information from the ‘Admission Policy’ heading onwards which is related to the Foundation Level program.
Please be advised that this information is incorrect.
We apologise profusely for any confusion and stress this communication may have caused so close to your exam appointment.
The correct information for the CPA Australia Professional Level program is as follows:
Admission Policy
EXAM DETAILS
Please arrive 30 minutes before your exam appointment time.
Upon arrival at the exam venue have your identification readily available for verification. You must provide two forms of ID documentation to enter the venue for the exam.
1. Your primary ID document MUST contain your photograph and signature.
2. Your secondary ID document must contain either your photograph OR signature.
You will also be asked to sign your name as confirmation of your signature and a photograph may be taken. If you are completing a computer based test, both may be stored electronically as part of the security requirements for sitting the exam.
Exam Details:
The CPA Program professional level and Practice Management exams are:
• three hours and fifteen minutes
• open book (except Singapore Taxation)
It is important to arrive at the exam venue no less than 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
You must not enter the exam room until advised to do so by the exam supervisor. You may not enter the exam room more than 30 minutes after exam commencement.
At the conclusion of the exam, you must stop writing and follow all instructions given to you by the exam supervisor.
Essential Exam Materials:
You are required to bring the following items to the exams:
• An official form of photographic identification, the name on the photographic identification must match the name on your member profile with CPA Australia. Candidates who do not provide appropriate ID will NOT be permitted to sit the exam.
• An additional form of identification that has your name and signature is also required.
• Pencils and pens for completing the exam (for paper-based exams). Replacements are not supplied.
• A silent electronic calculating device whose primary purpose is as a calculator. Candidates are not permitted to borrow another candidate’s calculator during the exams.
Optional Exam Materials:
• Reference materials that you believe to be relevant and which may assist you in the exams, such as the segment study guide, readings, prepared notes, dictionaries and printed translation guides. Ensure that your notes prepared for any exam are in a paper-based format.
• Singapore Taxation – this is a CLOSED book exam. You may bring the Singapore Income Tax Act and the Singapore GST Act to the exam, however these must be approved clean versions, i.e. they must not contain notes or highlighting.
Materials NOT permitted:
• Electronic devices including mobile telephones, smart phones such as the iPhone, pagers, electronic tablets such as iPads, laptop computers, electronic dictionaries, personal communication devices such as, and similar to, a Palm® device, electronic scanners and headphones are not permitted
• Food and drink items that produce distracting odours or wrapper or container noise are not permitted in the exam room (food and drinks items that are required for medical reasons MUST be pre-approved by CPA Australia, refer to website for further information/ instruction) |
