朋友得到墨尔本工作offer，很快全家就要从美国来墨尔本工作居住。

朋友目前应该持有的是工作签证，他的大儿子已经四岁，过来的话想排私校是不是已经来不及了？墨尔本男校或者混校小学入学是否会需要面试？

因为我个人感觉可能来不及私校排队，所以有建议他们先去一个好的公立学校学区租房，让老大可以先上公立学校。。朋友担心PR的问题。。这个我也不是很明白，是不是没有PR的小学生收费不一样？

Applying to enrol in primary school

If your child is currently enrolled in a NSW public school, contact shcool to discuss the enrolment procedures and obtain the necessary paperwork.

If your child is coming from a non-government school, contact shcool to make an appointment to discuss your child's potential enrolment.

If your child has a temporary visa or visitor visa you will first need to come to the school office during school hours and have with you all documentation as listed in the 'required documents' above. Following this the school will complete the required paperwork and then you will need to apply to enrol by contacting the temporary residents program. Depending on your visa, you may be required to pay a fee to the DEC International Business Unit
