SOS - with heaps questions

sorry@office no chinese sys available , as i wanna have quick answers asap, thx in advance =)

we are contacting a nsw breeder of corgi through dogzonline and got some positive reply today after submitting our good "resume", but i am still busy cleaning my head re the followings-

1.  the 5mth-old puppy is "" wormed, microchipped, vaccinated (booster required), registered as a pet (not for show or breeding) with dogs nsw "  -> Questions -
is that all we need ?
no more needles ?
wat's meant by "booster required" ?
how to transfer his Registration  from NSW to VIC ?
is the puppy registered with blue certificate or watsever they called ? sorry bit dumb questions ...

2. on sale reason is "he has grown a little bit too big ( not much but enough) for our breeding program" -> questions, any concern for corgi ?

3. the breeder gonna fly him to melbourne, so there will be some airfare fee on the top -> Questions,  altho we mentioned to pick up in person, the breeder doesnt  encourage "visitors due to disease considerations" . - Questions, is that really normal ? but we have an option to meet him at this coming sun show@NSW. please please advise, its not funny driving between mel and syd in one day.

4. as being newbie to dog, could anyone pls share some preparation list for new puppy (e.g. gates, bed, food, toy, vet, council, register etc) . Having nothing at all , i'm frkin panic and no clue

恭喜啊~~终于要有自己的狗狗了~~ 没养过puppy不能给经验的飘过~~~~个人觉得如果你想在家里把他隔离在某一个地方，baby gates是必须的~~ council注册也是必须的，只要注册了芯片把council的表填了给钱就好了~

1. 5个月大的小狗应该已经打完三针，booster是在第3针的一年之后打，妳可以问问breeder下次的booster是什么时候。
    registration不能从NSW转到VIC，除非你是registered breeder才能帮狗register，妳只要填好dogs NSW转ownership的form，上面有breeder的签名就可以了，不过不转也没什么问题，转主人要另外付钱。

2. 這隻小狗應該是breeder當初留下來的show prospect，但是现在发现体型不合要求，所以才要卖掉，参赛的狗有肩高的要求，超过或不足都不行，breeder说狗狗太大，可能就只是肩高超过要求。

3. 通常breeder拒绝新主人看小狗的要求大多是小狗还未满一个月，抵抗力不足，到这么大还怕有病就比较少见了，如果妳真的要到NSW看狗，不妨考虑搭飞机，节省时间又不那么累。

4. shopping list，，我觉得这是在小狗回家前让人最兴奋的事，baby gates，狗笼，项圈&狗绳，ID tag，多多多的玩具，零食，预防跳蚤，heartworm和worming的药，吃饭喝水的碗，食物要暂时餵breeder餵的牌子，再慢慢转成妳想要餵的品牌。

不管是妳们要去接他，或是让他自己搭飞机，都要跟breeder要一条有他家味道的小毯子，毛巾或是玩具，还有要记得拿microchip的资料和打针的certificate。

Ideally, we prefer to see the dog upfront, but the breeder said they'been busy for all the shows (easter, world etc), so will fly him at the same time as other pups, so....

my another concern is the breeder has no club details on file as per dogzonline, is this very normal ?

Im expecting his new pic plus parents'  coming this avo...  will make a decision then i think i already did, he has ticked all my box and i fall in love at 1st sight..

Sydney Royal dog show是快开始了，不过corgi毛那么短，show前的准备不算多，breeder有这么忙吗?如果在specialty可以让妳们看到想买的那只狗还OK，顺便可以看看breeder的其他狗，妳就大致可以知道狗狗的个性和breeder对狗的态度，去之前先确定妳们真的可以看到那只狗，否则就别浪费时间了，真的好远。妳有问过breeder小狗的个性是怎样的?
breeder是Nireno嗎?如果是的话，看起来是不错的，该做的检查都有做，他们的狗也有出口到美国和欧洲，养corgi 40年了，應該是很有經驗的breeder. 我看他们的小狗广告是一只三色小狗，是他吗?天生短尾的耶

When puppy was little, they have no immune to nasty disease like parvo etc. They need to inject with vaccine to training their immune system to generate anti-virus. That's for first and second shots.
As matter from fact, from the 3rd shots, it's all boost for your dog immune system for the rest of dog life.

yeh yeh thats my little buddy ! ( to be lol).. .. the grandson of Cooper (not fuss about this as long as hes healthy and happy).  he looks very big at his age compared to Toffee, look at the pawpaws...

Caron said they'been busy atm ,syd royal, 2 state specialties at end of this week plus the world dog show in hungary ...so.... but still give us an option to meet @ C/hills if we" genuinely wish to purchase the pup " said by her. 8hrs driving ahhhhhhh!!! please throw some light for me - go to look look before buy i know we gonna buy anyway or not go just waiting his flight, or go to looklook then pickup from the show ?

妳有问过breeder小狗的个性是怎样的? not yet, shall i ask ? just asking for his current and parents pic as not too much@ her FB.

People pick dog with different reasons.
but most of important reason for me is the temperament.
A 5 months dog has learned quite bit and has different training system. I suggest to buy a dog from puppy and easy to training and you know what you get.
There are plenty dog breeders and I'm not quite sure why you are so hurry to get one.
Female dog heats twice a year, so you should have twice puppy seasons they are normally June and Dec.
Although it's only March, but for good breeders, their puppies are always booked quite early.
I suggest you to call all good breeders and make booking first and be patient and wait.

小狗在一岁多打完booster之后免疫系统才算比较完整，之后如果不打算继续打针，最好还是要做titre test，确定狗狗体内有足够的抗体。

开车八小时真是很累，不过如果妳们周末没事，就当作短程旅行去玩玩，更何况specialty可以让妳看到N多的corgi，满地都是corgi，没有其他品种让妳分心
如果那小子本来是breeder的show prospect，他应该已经有基本的训练，至少能够walk on leash，toilet training已经也有了，帮妳减少了一点麻烦，5个多月也快换完牙了，乱啃东西的时间也少了很多，不过妳还是问问他的个性，看看是不是妳喜欢的，有些人喜欢活泼外向的狗，有些人喜欢安静的狗。

sofiwy想买corgi不是一时冲动，她已经等很久了，在宠版也混了很长一段时间，我相信她是经过深思熟虑的。
其实养狗不见得要从2个月大的小奶狗养起，养大点的狗也有好处，除了省掉半夜起来几次带狗狗大小便的麻烦，大狗的个性也比小小狗稳定，尤其是breeder家养大的狗，大多训练的不错，我家Reece来的时候是1岁半，我不觉得他比我家三只从小养起的狗狗差。
而且不是每一种狗的breeder都像border collie or lab那么多，随时都有很多小狗给想买的人挑选，除了花时间等，也要看缘份，有时breeder还不见得愿意把狗卖给想买的人，我等我的Nero也等了将近两年。

恭喜恭喜啊！这么长时间，好不容易等到了！如果接过来，一定要让我揉揉哦。

1. 五个月的小奶狗，三针应该都打了，接下来是年针，要到它一岁三个月的时候才需要打。
2. 柯基的体型大小差别很大，体型大一点的柯基也许不能满足参加比赛的要求。但是不影响健康，依然是很好的宠物。唯一要考虑的就是，可能完全长成以后，你抱不动。
3. 拒绝你们上门看的原因，可能是因为在show之前，他们家里还有其他的狗狗需要被保护，如果因为生人的接近产生任何意外，会影响他们的狗狗在show上的表现，所以他们的顾虑是可以理解的。也许你换个时间去，他们就接受了。一天开车往返墨尔本悉尼可能太辛苦了，如果你可以去show上和他们见面，顺便待一天，就当是旅游，再把狗狗接回来，我觉得也挺好的。
4. 去接狗狗的话，旅行箱式的笼子，大毛巾，两个狗碗，puppy狗粮，零食，磨牙棒，小玩具，纯净水，项圈，狗绳，狗窝的垫子，这些是最基本的。其他可以慢慢再置办。

我家Breeder也是一直不让提前去看狗，各种忙。

作为Pet的话，不要计较体型什么的，毕竟不是参加比赛。性格也不是你一下子就可以看出来的，毕竟短短几分钟，你满脑子都是so cute,完全不知道别的。。。至于接狗狗，我觉得路途遥远，不如让breeder安排空运。5个月的狗狗长途坐车，万一晕啊什么的，得不偿失

我接Toffee回来的时候，啥也没想，就好像生孩子一样，不管孩子什么样，自家的总是最好最爱的

呵呵，说明他就是你家的狗狗啊，有千年等一回的感觉啊。。。你把他接回来主要把breeder给你的表签好字，寄回给breeder，然后去你康嫂那里注册就好了。我们一直等到desex了才去注册的，晚了好几个月，人家啥也没说。恭喜恭喜啊。。。

目前为止接触过的柯基上两位数了，性格虽然有分别，但是总体差不多，特别是这个年龄的，都活泼好奇，亲人，爱管闲事，精力无限
