I am running a search for a highly capable Senior SQL Developer/DBA for one of my financial services customers.

The environment is quite complex with over 800 databases, some up to half a terabyte. The platforms are highly resilient, highly reliable, high volume transactional databases that manage billions of funds and trades across the globe. Therefore, we need someone that can manage at this level of complexity and pace.

Skills required:

Database Administration
Database Development
SQL Server 2005 & 2008
Clustering and Replication
SQL on VMWare (ideal)
Stored Procedures and Complex Query Writing

SQL on VMware,这个是一种新技术吗?

我的理解VMware的虚拟层对于DB是Transparent的,DB和OS打交道.
