收到救世军（TheSalvationArmy）的信----忍不住流泪了

每年会给救世军写两张支票，复活节一张，圣诞节一张，数额不大，一点心意。
今年复活节要到了，救世军新一轮Red Shield Appeal也开始了，这一次的来信非同寻常，讲述的是被干旱和森林大火折磨的家庭的故事，信还没看完，眼泪已经忍不住了。

Joanne  , farmer的故事
" We can't borrow any more. We're well overdrawn at the bank.　I reallly don't know where our next meal is coming from."
Joaane and her family are the victims of Australia's shocking drought.
They owe the bank more than their farm is worth, and don't know how they can go on. They've seen rain fall in other parts of the country, and felt good for their fellows on the land, but they themselves feel forgotten.

Luke ,bushfire survivor的故事
“ Our family is now living in a caravan on our block. Sarah isn't going to finish her studies. She knows we can't afford the costs. First the fire destroyed our home, now it's ruining our kid''s future."

Donna, bushfire victim的故事
“Suddenly I realised that all we had left were the clothes on our backs. The kids have been wearing the same socks and t-shirt for a week"

下面这个最让我伤心，一个父亲，在儿子生日那天，甚至连一个cake都拿不出来
Matthew, cattle farmer的故事
“Last week we didn't tell our four-year-old that it was his birthday. We couldn't afford a present, yet alone a party.We didn't even have enough to bake a cake. So rather than disappoint him, we didn't say anything. That was by far the lowest point of my life."

红着眼睛写了支票，数额是往年的两倍，最后特别写明一句 “ Please buy a cake for Mattew's kid!"

是。我每次看SALVO的宣传册子也非常难过  ：（

centrelink应该是有帮助的,但是对于刚被大火毁灭了一切的家庭来说,可能还是远远不够的. 不知道保险公司在里面扮演什么角色,有没有专门应付BUSH FIRE的险种

忘了补充一句：所有高于2刀的捐款，都是可以直接从税基（应税收入）中扣掉的

是的是的,就是经常找不到收据,也就算了

生活在哪里都有不同阶层人的悲惨事，国内不也有很多吗。相比起来在澳洲碰上这些事总还是没有在落后国家那么惨的。

今天刚刚去WORLDVISION 回来, 那里也可以做VOLUNTEER 的.

工作也很轻松， 就是拆开信封, 把DONATION 的捐款分类就是了.  地址在 SPRINGVALE 和BURWOOD HIGHWAY 的交界处附近. 家在附近的筒子真可以考虑一下.  工作时间从9:00 - 3:00 左右.
