Centrelink concession cards 详细资料
BenefitsA Health Care Card entitles you to cheaper medicines under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and various concessions from the Australian Government—these could include:
- bulk billing for doctor’s appointments (this is your doctor’s decision)
- more refunds for medical expenses through the Medicare Safety Net
- assistance with hearing services through the Office of Hearing Services
- discounted mail redirection through Australia Post.
Note: You may get some of these Australian Government concessions for a dependent child.
State and Territory Governments and local councils may offer concessions, such as:
- energy and electricity bills
- health care costs including ambulance, dental and eye care
- public transport costs
- water rates.
Please check with your State and Territory Government regarding which concessions are available to Health Care Card holders. Concessional entitlements may vary between States and Territories.
Note: When using services covered by Medicare, you will need to present your Medicare card.
Concessions may be available to certain cardholders
in the following areas of state, territory and private
services. Examples of concessions may include:
Health
• dental
• hearing services
• home care
• optical, and
• ambulance
Note: ambulance cover varies from state to state.
We recommend cardholders contact the ambulance
service in their state/territory to discuss what
cover their card provides. If travelling interstate,
cardholders should also contact the service in the
areas they are travelling to, or through.
Household
• council rates
• electricity/gas/water rates
• telephone line rental, and
• housing.
Education
• school fee relief
• Technical and Further Education (TAFE)
• state government education allowances, and
• training programs.
Transport
• taxi fares
• road transport registration fees
• drivers licence
• public transport fares, and
• regional rail travel concessions.
For Western Australian, South Australian or
Victorian residents, rail vouchers will be issued
once a year with Pensioner Concession Cards
(PCCs). Vouchers must be used when booking rail
travel to claim a concession.
