Apple reports on its website that the pre-orders for the new iPad will be shipped on 19 March, while the original shipping date was set on March 16th. However, the tablets will be available in the official Apple Stores on Friday, although it is likely that there will only be a limited number of iPad’s available. Those that pre-ordered the tablet directly after the announcement will received the tablet on the promised delivery date.
According to a spokesperson, Apple decided to postpone the delivery of the new iPad due to the large demand for the device and the limited number of available units. The new iPad was unveiled by Apple last Wednesday. One of the major improvements is the new Retina display with a higher resolution than its predecessor, the tablet also features a faster processor, 4G/LTE support and an improved camera. |
