面试的时候针对behavioural questions. 最好的是用STAR 技巧来回答。
S - Situation
T- Task
A - Action
R - Result
S- Describe The Situation
T - Describe the assignment you were given in relation to this situation. Think of skills and knowledge that were called on to address the task
A - These are activities you engaged in to complete the task. For example, you were assigned as a leader of a cross-functional group responsible for developing a new job description format. Explain how you used facilitation skills to achieve consensus within the team
R - This is the outcome of the task and action stated in quantifiable terms if possible
时间上的分配:
Situation - 5% - just state the situation "we were in a big group project and somebody had to leave for a family concern"
Task 5% - "this left us shorthanded with a large paper and presentation with plenty of research to complete. A daunting task we thought"
Action 80% - this is what they care about. Discuss the actions or what you did to respond to the situation/task. "realizing the task we created an action plan for each member of the group. I volunteered to take on a substantial part of the paper while another member was dedicated to the presentation. We were able to manage our time and cooperate effectively throughout. One member was having trouble finding certain primary sources, so I gladly stepped in with some extra insight into the research. The project moved along marvelously and we were all dedicated to the task, etc, etc, etc"
Result 10% - The end result was excellent. Not only was it well received by the professor but we learned alot about the importance of group work, cooperation, and individual time management.
