Oracle Identity and Monitoring Administrator
The purpose of this position is to maximise the operational availability and integrity of the Oracle middleware and database supporting Transurban’s core tolling system (GLIDe). This is a newly developed system which is a critical element of the business that enables roadside transactions to be constructed into trips which are then rated and allocated to an account for billing.
The scope of the Oracle Identity and Enterprise Manager Administrator will be broadened to encompass additional business as they emerge.
The GLIDe application suite, represented by Unix/Oracle environments is typically 24x7 in operation and includes:
• Oracle CC&B – Customer Relationship Management
• Custom developed applications running on Oracle Application Server and Middleware technology such as BPEL & ESB (Fusion) – Core Asset, Interoperability, Integration, etc
• YellowFin Reporting Solution hosted on Oracle Application Server technology.
• iGLIDe – Public facing website for customer account management
• GLIDe Monitoring using Oracle Enterprise Manager and Grid Control
The role also must have an in-depth working knowledge of IT service support processes and must provide the following high-level services:
• Oracle Application maintenance (support, patching, upgrades)
• Incident management (Triage and Level 2 and 3 support, Incident diagnosis and resolution, root cause analysis)
• Daily oracle application and database monitoring (Health Checks) and log file management
• Environment setup and support
• Web & Application Server support

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Strong working knowledge of
Oracle Identity Management and Single Sign On Server.
Oracle Enterprise Manager deployment in a clustered environment.
Oracle Application Server 10g ,
Oracle Middleware, SOA suite (BPEL and ESB),
This includes experience in deployment standards, internal procedures, backups and recovery, performance tuning, clustering techniques and interrogation tool sets.
• Strong working knowledge in Patching and Provisioning of Oracle Single Sign on Servers and Middleware instances using OEM Grid Control.
• Excellent Oracle middleware and database administration and performance tuning skills.
• Sound understanding of Oracle Application and Middleware clustering technology
• Experience in integration of Oracle Application Servers, Oracle Single Sign on Server and Oracle Identity Manager.
• Experience in Oracle DataGuard and ASM (desirable)
• Experience in applications support of mission critical systems.
• Technical support experience in LINUX and AIX Server environments with proficiency in the use of related diagnostic tools. (desirable)
• Exposure to application administration tools.
• Experience in CC&B/SPL server administration (desirable).
• Exposure to Web site administration
• Good understanding of Unix and Microsoft Client / Server environment and networking.
• Experience analysing & documenting application configurations and operational processes.
• Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and its application in the Oracle product suite.
Qualifications
• Computer Science or related tertiary degree .
• Oracle Application Server Administration Certification (desirable)
• Success in a comparable position supporting Oracle applications that are enterprise level, mission critical, with medium to high volume transactions |
