First it was ferries, now commuters can surf the internet on some Sydney buses.
Free Wi-Fi is rolling out, to encourage more passengers to swap cars for public transport to ease congestion on the road and trains could be next.
'It's a step in the right direction because you're using more technology,' one commuter said.
The M10 Metro bus is the first to be fitted with Wi-Fi capabilities where passengers can connect for free.
Passengers can use two 45 minute sessions each day with 30 megabytes worth of downloads available.
And it's not just buses, in the last six months people have had access to Wi-Fi on the Manly ferry where the next challenge will be trains. |
