Help, is anyone good at the iphone and itune update and sync?

I did a firmware upgrade last night, from version 3.* to 4.* now. But after upgrade, everything is gone in my iphone.
Do I have any chance to get back the data? like address book, sms, notes, calendar, etc.
Can anyone help? or do you know where I should go for the help?

I am in Sydney, and my iphone is a old version 3G, before 3GS.

i presume your contact/data has been synced to your computer you used to (if not, try the computer that you sync before this)...please check your MS outlook(you can also sync your contacts with gmail, and store your contacts online) if your contact still there.....you might also find your notes/calendar there is your are lucky....

your itune normally will back up everything for you automatically...so you might want to re-sync again...just make sure you tick all the appropriate boxes...e.g contact/notes/calendar

Just the applications I have to install them again. But that's good enough.
Yes, all the data is backed up in my laptop, but it's not in the default place.
It's because the phone name is changed by default during the upgrade. I think because I changed laptop once and the user name is different.
So I find the backup finally, and copy it to the default place. Then I can see it in the history and restore it in iTune.
