After speaking to some 1200 of you over the last 3 months and getting your feedback on salaries, I have put all the information together and averaged the findings out.
There were quite a few in the $150k + mark but not completely hands on anymore.
Salary Survey – Cisco Certified Professionals
October 2010
This salary survey was undertaken between July 2010 and October 2010 from a sample of 1263 Australia wide Cisco Certified Engineers.
Respondents were asked to indicate their salary / rate along with their year’s experience.
· The average CCNP Certified Salary is $65,000 Base
· The average CCVP Certified Salary is $110,000 Base
· The average CCIE Certified Salary is $125k Base
· The highest Salary bracket earners in the $150k Base + have 15+ Years experience
All figures below for Permanent are Base salaries before super, all contract figures are including super and before tax but not before agency fees are added!

In other news we can be confident on the run up to Christmas as the market has more opportunities for Network professionals.
Still in high demand are Cisco UC Engineers, the pre sales space appears to be the most in demand, Security and load balancing Technologies are also in high demand. Data engineers with design experience are well sort after as well. |
