买私人保险的好处？

在澳洲生活大家都建议买私人保险，说特别是有孩子的家庭，我一直很好奇为什么私人保险那么重要，因为毕竟看病的几率还是比较少的，而且有medicare，虽然gp看病有点糨糊，但看看也够了。请了解的朋友来说说买私保的好处~~
私人保险能看牙，配眼镜，但貌似这个看的频率也很少。

1.        If your income is over $73,000 or family income is over $146,000, you have to pay 1% medicare levy surcharge if you do not have private health insurance. This threshold was $50,000 in 2008 year. To avoid this surcharge is the main reason for people to take out private health insurance.  
2.        The private health insurance has two parts: Hospital cover and ancillary cover. Ancillary cover helps you on the glasses, teeth clean. Hospital cover helps you on hospital expenses.
3.        Medicare covers clinic / your local GP expenses.

Most of members in ourstep are healthy young people. There are not many chances to see them in the hospital. That’s why they only emphasized on the benefit you can get from glasses and tooth care.

买私人保险一个是可以降低你要叫的税，这个LS已经说明了。另外一个就是可以报销一些medicare不报销的，比如看牙，买眼镜或者隐形，按摩，推拿，住院手术等等。建议去保险公司拿小册子看看，有好处的。
