I have a dedicated server in the USA on a high speed internet backbone. It costs USD$450/month, but I'm barely using 1/10 of its capacity. Currently it has

-XEON Quad Core CPU
-2GB RAM (will increase to 8gb if needed)
-2 X 250GB hard drive on RAID1
-1 X 250GB hard drive
-Windows 2003 (upgrade to Windows 2008 R2 soon)
-MS SQL 2005 (upgrade to 2008 soon)

It has the capacity to host quite a few websites (50+), and is set up so that all end-user hosting website / software are ready to go.

What you'll get:
-A free hosting reseller account on the server

-Fully automated hosting system (resellers/end-users have access to web-based Control Panel to configure almost everything)

What you'll need:
-a product (i.e. hosting solutions) and marketing plan
-a website selling your hosting solutions
-time and effort to service your customers
-some technical knowledge on hosting on Windows platform


Type of Products
-Suitable for Windows based technology/web sites only. No phps/linux etc.
-Shared sites and virtual server

What you'll pay when you have customers:
-50% of all the monthly fees up to $200/month. There after 30% for each extra account

Note:
-Hosting business is very competitive. You need to offer somthing unique, or have access to some potential customers (such as you run an HTML design company, or have a big site you want to put up yourself)
-I suggest you forget about targeting low end market (under $10/month)
-I suggest you target premium service market (such as $20/month and do all configuration work for your customers) and provide personal service. You can do that because the server is very good and we don't host too many sites on it (most cheap accounts on the market are placed on servers with 100+ sites)
-Concentrate on asp.net + sql database market space
-I've had the server for 3 years, and will continue to have it for a long time. So I'm only interested in long-term partnership. I need to see your business plan and that you're serious about it (trying is good but not just trying half heartedly because it's free)
-In the unlikely event that I cease to operate, you can easily transfer all your sites to my hoster
