We have an opportunity for a permanent full-time accountant role for a property development start-up business based in Brisbane CBD.
This is a newly created role, so you have an opportunity to join an exciting brand-new company to help grow the business and gain multi experiences.
Position Summary and key responsibilities:
1.        Coordination with the project team on the costing of the project, e.g., invoices checking, sales advice checking and cost report reconciliation.
2.        Analytical work on the project budget and project cash flow.
3.        Assist the Finance team with preparation, reconciliation, and lodgement of monthly and quarterly BAS.
4.        Assist the Finance team in preparing yearly financial statements and reports for internal and external use.
5.        Assist Finance team in budget preparation, prepare cashflow reporting and analysis on the variance.
6.        Assist the Finance team in analysing financial and accounting feasibility studies for potential investments in new and existing projects if required.
7.        Assist the Finance team in budget preparation and preparation of financial and management accounts for multiple entities.
8.        Monitor and reconcile group company bank accounts if required.
9.        Assist with Finance team with the Trust account and daily reconciliation.
10.        Invoicing, account payables, account receivables, and relevant staff expenses reimbursements.
11.        Assist the Finance team in staff payroll preparation, payroll and superannuation payment if required.
12.        Accounting and finance data entry and recording, intercompany charges, and journals.
13.        Assist the Finance team in documentation, filing and administrative work.
14.        Maintain asset register.
15.        Liaising with stakeholders on the progress of the project if required.
16.        Ad-hoc tasks must be attended to if required.
17.        Assist the Finance team in coordination with relevant departments to complete the Accounts documentation.
18.        Ensure the task is performed on time when instructed by the Managers and Finance Director.

Required experience: At least 3 years of accounting experience in the Real Estate industry.
