还没有面试，要不要提供PR number?

这个星期申请了一份graduate accountant的工作，今天收到回信：
”Dear Applicant,
Re: Graduate Accountant
Thank you for your on-line application with Armstrong World Industries . We will be in contact over the next few weeks to advise of the progress of your application. If at any stage of the process, you need assistance or wish to withdraw your application, please email:  businesbydesign@optusnet.com.au
Overseas Students:
For security purposes please email me your residency status and Permanent Residency  Number.
If you are an Australian Citizen please ignore the above.

想问问，有没有人知道Permanent Residency Number是指哪个号？
因为看到发信的邮箱businesbydesign@optusnet.com.au 的后缀不是那个招聘公司自己网站地址，这封信会不会有假啊？提供这个号码给它会不会很危险啊？
请各位提供一些意见，谢谢！

从没听说过有什么 PR Number， 一般他们问你你说是就可以了 ，没听说还调查的，奇怪，也许是针对毕业生的。

很正常！  现在JD 后面不都是跟一句 “要PR/ Citizenship " 吗

因为是雇主通过中介找人， 我们又是外国人，他们当然需要身份证明. 我所有的中介interview ,都让我带citizenship 的certificate ..他们看过就可以了。

PS : PR number  就是你Passport 上贴的。这个一定会有的
