Had a HSBC gold credit card, missed out 5 dollars in last payment (closing balance around $10,000).

they charged me interest (over $200) on the full amount ($10,000).

Any suggestions on how to deal with the bank to waive or reduce the interest?

can't put one lump sum repayment. have to pay via multiple payments (unfortunately missed 5 bucks)...
