不同颜色的coolant相混合

纯属好奇，非严谨实验。

上午勾兑的，十三四个小时了。室温放置。

E=A+B
F=A+C

均是1:1勾兑。

注：B是Type B coolant。
What is meant by Type A and Type B coolant?
In 1977 an Australian Standard was created to help regulate the quality and performance of automotive coolants in the Australian passenger car and light commercial market. The current standard is known as AS2108-2004. Type A coolants are antifreeze/antiboil coolants with corrosion inhibitor that comply with the requirements of this standard. Type B coolants are coolants with corrosion inhibitors only that comply with the requirements of this standard.

What Are The Different Types Of Coolant? What Is A Coolant Inhibitor?
Type A coolant contains an antifreeze + anti-boil component. This is typically either ethylene glycol and is used to decrease the coolant’s freezing point and raise its boiling point. A variety of different inhibitor packages are used in Type A coolants and depending on its application, different doses of glycol are used.

Type B coolant is a Coolant Inhibitor. It's similar to Type A coolant, and contains very small amounts of the additives that Type A (around 5-10%) does and is used more commonly as a rust or corrosion inhibitor and not as a “coolant.” This type of coolant was commonly used in vehicles before the 1980s.

The most common types of antifreeze which are used today include; Ethylene Glycol and Organic Acid Technology. When you’re out shopping for a coolant you’ll see a lot of different colours, but don’t let that scare you. Coolant is a transparent fluid and different manufacturers add dyes to differentiate the coolant base. Always remember to read your car’s owner manual before you add a coolant to the car. The most common colours you will come across are green, red, blue, yellow or orange.

• Green coolant is your conventional coolant (Ethylene Glycol base) and is the most common type of coolant found.
• Red coolant is typically has a base of Organic Acid Technology which has a different chemical makeup of green coolant and is designed to be suitable for aluminium radiators. Red coolant is often silicate and phosphate free for use in later Japanese and Euro vehicles.
• Blue coolant is usually an Organic Acid Technology base and what makes it different from red coolant is that they’re normally Borate free which is a requirement for modern day Japanese vehicles that are supplied with blue coolant from factory.
• Yellow or Orange coolants are the latest in technology and are normally a universal product. Some universal coolants will allow top up mixing to a certain percentage of the overall capacity of the cooling system, so it’s important to keep this in mind when topping up

其实买二手车时挺担心前任车主胡来，尤其没底线的人士

勾兑倒是第一次听说。勾兑后读出来的指标可能会不准确，寒冷气更显著。颜色可以用来区分每次换的时候确保清水洗刷后没有残留。一般换的时候都是按照manual或者车出场时候是什么颜色就继续用那个颜色。

只是好奇而已。难道还真用车上。

这样实验有啥意义呢？紧急情况下没有同样颜色的，加点水就行了。
你还可以做其他的实验，机油混变速箱油，刹车液混橄榄油啥的

赞楼主，也就是说混合的冷却液可能不会出现像果冻一样的情况，也就是失效呗

暂时不知道啊，反正到今天为止还没有果冻样，但放置的温度跟发动机的实际工况相去甚远，现在是不知道在反复的高温-常温-高温…的循环下会否凝聚成果冻

但是我看混合以后的颜色变化很大，估计失效了。

两种不同颜色的东西混合后，混合物的颜色肯定不跟两种东西中的任一个相同啊

感谢楼主迈出第一步，去做这样的实验，但是，coolant的正常工作环境，是高温，高压，长期氧化压力，加上对各种橡胶，金属材料的抗腐蚀，不同金属之间要抗微电流产生，这些在你的实验中很难还原，其实在我看来，coolant是比engine oil还要复杂的东西，一般就买丰田原装就好，便宜量又足，而且非常非常长效。

美国人的说法：

Realize that green antifreeze is the old style antifreeze. That was an old type of antifreeze where the glycol lasts maybe three years max. So you’ve got to change the coolant maybe three years or every 15,000 miles. The modern coolant comes in various different colors and red happens to be one of them. It often can last five years or 150,000 miles. So it’s a better antifreeze to use.
Now, if you mix them--they are not supposed to be mixed--but if you mix them it’s not like mixing an acid and a base and you are not going to have and explosion or anything like that. It’s just that, when you do mix them, then when you use any of the machines that mechanics use to see what the freeze point is, you’re going to get inaccurate readings. So if somebody tries to check to see if you have enough antifreeze in your system, so it won’t freeze in the winter for example, your reading might be wrong. If it gets really cold, you might end up cracking your engine. So basically, you’d want to stick to the coolant that the car was made for. If you have an older car, say that came with green coolant, you can flush it all out and put the newer style coolant in and then change it every five years or 150,000 miles. It’s perfectly backwards compatible if you want to do that. But you really don’t want to mix them, it’s not that good of an idea to mix them. If you want to have the correct coolant added for you, consider YourMechanic. They will be able to come to your home or office to perform this service.

Coolant你研究下去会超级复杂的，长段长段的解释就不贴了，总之，OAT, HOAT, P-HOAT or POAT, HOAT，这些都是长效配方（不能只看颜色），HOAT比较流行，但是日系的和欧美系配方却不一样，日系是保密的。coolant最好不要混合，加蒸馏水都好一点。

SCA里看了一下红色Nulon、绿色Nulon、蓝色Penrite、绿色Penrite、红色Penrite等几款主流的coolant，全是乙二醇ethylene glycol的

最搞笑的是TYPE B的coolant，成分不标，冰点沸点跟水一毛一样，不知道是不是水里兑点绿色颜料而已
