Was in the market for a new monitor for my new pc. Wanted a Freesync monitor that was 27" 144hz 1440p.
I found a couple:
ASUS MG279Q
Acer XF270HU
AOC AG271QX
But the same with all the other variants, they all used the same panel and these models were 3-4 years old now. Nothing new with these specs.
Then I found these new acer lineups. VG271U & XV272U. Looks like the XV is the same panels with the exception to better build quality. I'll be mounting it on a VESA so I do not care of the flimsy base
The good thing about these is that they are using the new innolux panels and none of that 3 year old AU Optronics (AH-VA) panels
Another good thing about this monitor is it has 1.07b colours vs the 3 yo AUO panels which is 16.7m
In total i spent 645$ with express shipping (standard was cheaper but a small bit) pretty decent as it looks like a bit cheaper than the 3 year old other alternative panels/monitors
Hopefully I hit the jackpot and get one with minimal blb and no dead pixel.
