真的很糟糕

I had few drinks with colleagues and friends after work this evening. It was quiet. In fact, I have never seen a pub half dead like this on a Friday evening. Remember only 3 months ago, at the same place and the same time it was packed.

One of us drives to work. He said he has noticed there were fewer cars on the road when he drove to work in the morning. Another guy said that the guys he worked with had not much to do. No one is borrowing and no one is issuing (Securities)……

Sorry to let you down on a Friday night guys.

我所在的部门是司法系统里非常重要的一个部门，但我们单位行政部里的两个职位就暂时由一个人兼了，因为有一个一直是由　internal temp在做。但根本原因也是政府 funding /budget的减少。。。

觉得政府里的 perm工还是非常安全的，但internal temp, agency temp (contractor)就好难讲了。

我们另外一个team 3个人，很多年了。。最近一个contract 到期了，不再续约，由两个人维持。。剩下这两个是permanent 。

Its time for people to hold tight to their purses and not spend too much. Its time to bring the companies to their knees -- and eventually they will. Big bosses and CEO's salaries are still going up. This has to stop. Only way is for people to stop feeding them by spending more. Cut up your credit cards. Don't buy anything that is not required.
This difficult phase will bring a new world order and it will eventually be for everyone's benefit.

Its difficult to have patience in such times but people have the power. Consumer is king. Don't give up.
