墨尔本北区西人企业招聘Production Operator/Supervisor-Permanent Position

We are a small-Medium business in northern suburbs and is looking for a production operator and future supervisor.
Position :   
A varied position involving preparing the fibre preparation, running and maintaining the fibre processing plant, quilting machines and warehousing.
Maintaining plant records and regular reporting
Handling stock storage, recording and dispatch logistics, eg pick and pack, labelling and outwards shipping
After initial training and acquiring experience in the production process, the employee will, if suited, be offered an opportunity to undertake further training leading to a more senior and supervisory position.

Your skills:      
Experience working in or supervising a small team in a flexible production environment. If you have specific experience working with textile fibres it would be highly regarded although not essential. A related trade or tertiary based qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Operations Management would be very desirable.
Good to strong mechanical skills – operating, maintaining and trouble shooting
Attention to detail – products within specification and standards
Good communication skills and able to work in a small team environment with minimal supervision.
High level of energy, commitment and committed to achieving results
Experience in warehousing, stock control and logistics
Forklift experience with licence would be advantageous but not essential, we will train if required.
Basic computer skills on Word and Excel
Good understanding of OH&S practices and policies
Ability to problem solve and resolve process issues, recommend improvements and be able to offer suggestions for improvement
Understanding and working in an organised environment including managing, storing and care of materials, tools and equipment
Physically fit and willing to undertake a variety of roles in the production process including warehousing, packing, shipping etc
Being able to liaise with management and to diagnose problems and work as a team to solve problems and to implement Improvements in the production process.


Position details:
Full time permanent after probationary period.
