I am hoping someone may know of anyone in Melb or SA that can help. We have an emergency situation.
Susie is a volunteer community aid worker in Adelaide/Melbourne who looks after women in need. She is moving to Afganistan be in a mission. The focus of the mission is helping women who are abused and neglected in the shocking conditions of that region. You can only imagine what that is like.
However, disaster has struck and the people who were supposed to look after/house her cats for her whilst she is away have fallen out. Backed into a corner with no-one who can help, Susie needs the support of the community.
And the clock runs out in 4 days. We have no time to think, we have to put this out there.
- We desparately need people in Melbourne or Adelaide who will foster/adopt 1-2 cats
- Susie will fund food and extras, CatRescue will help with advertising and assistance
- This needs to happen urgently, Susie's time is running out.
She has called the RSPCA, the Cat Protection and the Animal Rescue community and they unfortunately have no room and cannot guarantee they will rehome. As you know, surrendered animals are immediately approved for euthanasia, there is no 14 day reprieve.
If you are able to help by sending this out and helping find fosters and even new homes for Susie's cats she would love to hear from you. She has 4 days to go before she has to sleep in a car with her animals.
