我和lg大约一周前报考MCQ考试,今天收到补料信。第一条好理解,因为照片在certified的时候,我要求邮局的人按照那个格式写,但是邮局那个人说写不下,就只写了true photograph等,所以要严格按照他们要求的格式来写。但第二条,看那意思,是不是在报考MCQ前要求雅思成绩(4个7)呀?我知道通过了MCQ---临床考试后,然后AMC发个certificate,然后再过雅思4个7,就可以拿到州的医学会进行注册了。原先是这样想的,现在又要求雅思成绩,不知是不是这样?又要多出110刀,心疼啊。

INTRODUCTION
The AMC processes all applications for non-specialist assessments strictly in the date order they are received.
While every effort is made by the AMC to reduce the processing time for applications, many applications submitted to the AMC are incomplete or do not comply with the prescribed requirements, thereby adding to the processing times and causing unnecessary delays for other applicants.
It is in the interests of all applicants to ensure that they have submitted all the documentation required for assessment.


The AMC has received your application and supporting documents required for eligibility to undertake the AMC examination process.

Upon an initial assessment of your documentation, your medical degree has been sent to the ECFMG – EICS for primary source verification.

Although you are now eligible to schedule for an AMC MCQ examination, the Primary Source Verification section have found that there are matters requiring your attention.
These are identified below in the check-box alongside the relevant item.


Reference is made to the relevant sections of the Information Booklet for Applicants, which you should read carefully to ensure you comply with the instructions and requirements.

Your candidature will remain Conditional until all documentation has been received and credentialed as complete. Your results for the AMC MCQ examination will be withheld until your eligibility has been confirmed.

Where appropriate, the document(s) requiring your attention are returned with this notification.

Please address the matters requiring your attention and return the completed documentation to the AMC.

Requirement for English language proficiency
Candidates for the AMC Examination need to provide evidence of English proficiency, or obtain evidence of medical board support for an exemption, before they are eligible to receive the AMC Certificate. The AMC encourages candidates to demonstrate their English proficiency before undertaking the MCQ examination, however it is not a pre-requisite to enter the examination process.

Unless an exemption has been granted by the Medical Board, the AMC requires acceptable evidence of English language proficiency.  This may be either:

a certified copy of Occupational English Test (OET) results, with grades A or B; or


·
a certified copy of International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic Module results, with scores of 7 or higher in each of the 4 components; or


·
a pass in the Professional Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB) in the United Kingdom; or


·
A pass in the New Zealand Registration Examination (NZREX) in New Zealand.


Results from any of the abovementioned English language examinations must be obtained in one sitting.  Please refer to the National Policy at http://www.amc.org.au/images/FormsGeneral/NationalEngLangPol.pdf  for more information.

NOTE: English language proficiency is a pre-requisite for medical registration (including area of need registration) in Australia. Applicants will also be required to demonstrate valid evidence of English language proficiency when presenting to the relevant Medical Board seeking medical registration.

前面红体字说AMC鼓励参试者提供英语成绩,但并不是进入考试程序的pre-requisite。所以,考MCQ前不需提供英语成绩,当然提供最好。

下面黑体字又说如果没有得到MEDICAL BOARD的豁免,AMC要求提供英语成绩。

我到不怕考雅思或者OET之类的,关键是什么时候考。原来打算是考完MCQ、临床考试,州医学会注册的时候再考。不知现在什么时候考?真是纳闷。云里雾里的。
我想问大家的是:
到底是在MCQ之前考英语成绩,还是当你通过了MCQ和临床考试,当AMC颁发certificate的时候要成绩?还是颁发完了certificate之后进行注册的时候要成绩?

目前不需要在MCQ之前考英语成绩,但当你通过了MCQ和临床考试,AMC需要你的英文成绩才能完成临床医师的注册的手续,拿到你的CERTIFICATE. 但$110还是要交的吧. 顺便说一句,我一向佩服不怕考雅思或者OET之类的同志. 呵呵,祝你们好运!
