I'm not sure I understand your question though. If you are planning to have your baby in a public hospital, then there's no point having a private OB. OBs will only deliver in a private hospital or if you are being treated as private patient in a public hospital. Either way, you need to have private health insurance cover, otherwise you need to pay for the hospital stay yourself.
In general, public hospital = midwives only. No OB or specialist unless you are at high risk. |
