“Dear” neighbour,
We are really upset with our new car been scratched by your garage gate due to your irresponsible behaviour. And we cannot do anything because you just simply deny your liability as an “adult”. Shame of you! My husband couldn’t even concentrate in his work and had to take day off yesterday and you didn’t even apologize for what you have done.
You said” Everybody does this.” NO!!! So far I didn’t notice anybody does this and you were not the first time doing this. Last time when I just drove pass and your gate opened when you were not physically there. I was very surprized and thought it was an accident. I felt lucky last time. I didn’t know that is your HABIT of opening the gate when you were still upstairs.
It was a car yesterday. Imagine it’s a child walking pass your gate or standing there waiting. What will happen? Nobody will think the gate will just open automatically by itself. What I can see is that either you don’t have a brain or you are too selfish and no considerate of others.
I felt sorry for being agitated yesterday when you were saying that you have no responsibility. And I don’t think you will stay calm if your new car got scratched and without a sorry from the person and even more denying her liability. But at least I don’t have to feel guilty for damaging other’s property.
Even we couldn’t do anything and we have to bare the loss, but that doesn’t mean you are innocent. A lot of criminals didn’t get caught but doesn’t mean that are not criminals. Laws can’t punish them but God has bright eyes and they will get punished in their later life.
I really hope you feel peaceful in your heart and being a good role model of your kids!
