一早就看到这样一条励志新闻,算不算Diao丝逆袭呢?

St Johns Park High School, 去年有5名学生ATARs在99分以上,15名学生在90分以上,更令人惊讶的是170名高考生中竟然有146名学生收到了大学录取通知书。周日该校将和其他30余所学校受到纽省教育部表彰,为其Overacheivement。
学校背景如下
学校ICSEA 指数是926,低于平均
学校非英语背景学生比例高达90%,还有1%的土著学生
学校有100多名难民孩子
学校地处悉尼西南,学生家庭背景大多处于社会底层
校长Sue French 女士说:"It's not just about those high-flyers; it's about how do you make the best for every student,"
于是学生们说:"Everyone thinks that that we are bad schools, this school shows our potential." "This school makes me feel really good, it makes me feel smart,"
SMH的这篇文章提出了这样一个观点:The research found that successful schools with NAPLAN results that far outweighed their peers' used more data, technology,and teacher training. Surprisingly, those schools had less parent involvement than worse performing schools.
